In 2017, Shawn Mendes will be touring the world again for the second year. His tour is going to be called Illuminate. Illuminate is his second album that h has released. His last album was called Handwritten. The tour got its name from his new album that will be released on September 23, 2016.

Shawn Mendes has many things coming up for him this year. He just released a music video to his song Mercy which has his supporters excited and crazy.

A new thing that Shawn is doing is having a small shop called a Pop Up Shop in New York City, Toronto, and Los Angeles. The shops will be open from September 21st to October 1st. The first thirty fans that showed up on the 21st, get to meet Shawn on the first of October.

When Shawn goes on tour next year, he will be traveling everywhere. He will be going to South America, North America, Europe and Asia. He will be having forty-one concerts in 2016 and 2017.

When Shawn first became popular, he was on a tour called Magcon. As he became to sing and drift from that tour, record deals were thrown at him. Everybody wanted to be a part with Shawn Mendes. “He was the next Justin Bieber,” everyone said.

Shawn started to go on tour and open up for an artist named Austin Mahone, that is when his career shot off a lot. Austin was a pretty huge artist in the year of 2014, so that helped Shawn out a lot by getting his name in the bigger lights.
