These past few weeks have been crazy with scholarships. Last Monday, I received the Herald Standard Scholar Athlete and this week is all about filling more out. Scholarships are the best and easiest way to receive free money for college. It is very simple, all you have to do is fill out the application, get letters of recommendation, and maybe write an essay. There are so many scholarships out there that anyone can win and they all have different criteria. Of course there are you normal academic ones, but there are some for eye color, left handed people, hair color, gender, and more.

Getting all of my papers organized is very complicated. You want to fill out everything with your 100% best effort because that is how you win. I really hope to win so more scholarships because it really helps out financially. Also Mrs. Herold sends out emails to seniors about local scholarship offers and that is supper helpful.

“Getting a scholarship can always help. It doesn’t matter if it is worth $500 or $5,000, it will help you in the long run,” said Jamie Lawrence. She recently had to make a video for Chatham University for a scholarship.

In conclusion, I am thankful for any scholarship I receive because college is so stressful and any money will help ease my mind. I hope to win some more in the near future.
