Sadie Fowler – Athlete Biography

Sadie Fowler is a freshman and a first year member of the track team. Sadie participates in the 100 and 200 meter sprints, the 300 meter hurdles, and the 4 by 1 relay.

Athletes need to set goals to find success in sports. Some have more simple goals than others. Some have certain times they want to hit or to make it to states and when Sadie was asked what her overall goal was she simply said, “To do the best I can and have fun doing it.” If you have fun with what you’re doing in sports you can do no wrong especially if you try your hardest to achieve your goals.

Sadie dose not participate in this sport outside of school especially since our school doesn’t offer track until high school. She trains for this sport in the off season by playing other sports such as basketball. Her best performances where in the 4 by 1 relay. Some athletes find motivation in people for Sadie her main motivator is Riley Payo.

All sports come with their own unique set of challenges, mainly because every athlete has challenges with different aspects of the sport. When asked what the most challenging part about track was she said “Hey I know, the whole thing.”

Sadie is just getting started in her freshman season of track so she isn’t sure if she wants to pursue this sport beyond high school yet but she just wants to see what he rest of her high school career will bring.
