Brooke Weir – Athlete Biography
Brooke Weir is a junior and is a defensive specialist for the Jefferson-Morgan Volleyball Team.
Weir has been playing volleyball for five years. She has played both her middle school years and three high school years. She participates in volleyball because she says, “I’ve always loved watching my neighbors play, which got me interested in the sport.” Weir says the most difficult aspect about volleyball changes everyday but it’s mainly the practices.
Weir has two goals for this years season. Learning how to hit properly is one of her goals. Winning sections as a team is another one of her goals. Weir is also looking forward to all of their games, but mostly the Carmichaels games. She’s looking forward to the Carmichaels games because they’re the biggest rival.
Weir hopes that volleyball is a sport she wants to do after high school because it’s a sport that she really loves doing. Weir also has advice for any students who wish to participate in volleyball. Her advice is, “If you want to play volleyball then go for it. It’s a lot of work though, but it’s worth it. It can be tons of fun.”
