Madison Dupont is a senior and member of the volleyball team.
When asked what inspired her to play volleyball, Madison said, “Both of my older cousins used to play and I always used to go watch them.” Taking this inspiration, Madison began to play the sport in middle school, all four years of high school, and two years of club season. She has received a letter for her efforts in volleyball in sophomore, junior and senior years. Her goal is to make it to the second round of playoffs.
As well as playing for the team, Madison has practiced on her own to improve her skills. Working hard at the game is one of Madison’s most valued things to do. To her, it is very important to practice, play hard, and fulfill her role to the team.
Every practice and game is stepping a little closer to her goal this season. “Work hard and the hard work will pay off, but also, just have fun.” Madison says. That is her advice to anyone thinking of joining the volleyball team. Hard work is important but having fun is also key. If you’re not having fun, you’re not going to play well, or want to play. Which is why Madison work so hard to practice and perfect her game, while also having fun.
As Madison is a senior, this will be her last year playing volleyball for the Jefferson Morgan Volleyball Team. Her plans after school consist of heading off the California University of Pennsylvania. Whether or not she continues to play volleyball in college is unknown..
