Katrina Shmolke is a freshman of Jefferson Morgan and a member of the cheerleading team.

Katrina’s favorite thing about cheerleading is being loud and supporting the football players. “I love being loud and letting football players  know we’re supporting them because it’s always good to know someone is supporting you.”

Katrina loves everything about cheerleading. She loves the fact that there is more than one uniform.

Katrina’s mother was a cheerleader so it has been in her family for a long time. “I have been cheer leading for 9 years. My favorite coach is the head coach, Natalie. She is tough when she needs to be and she loves us like we are her own kids. Cheerleading is my favorite sport because it’s a passion of mine. I’ve done it my whole life.”

This is not Katrina’s last year of cheerleading. She is just a freshman and is going to continue cheering after this year. She plans to cheer until she is a senior because it’s a passion of hers.
