December is a very festive month. The snow, the Christmas music, the decorations, everything puts you in the Christmas mood. December is filled with holiday celebrating including Christmas and New Years. Everywhere you look, you see some sort of holiday decorating whether it is a Christmas tree in a store or just a red cup from Starbucks. The holidays are everywhere during the month of December.

Around Christmas time, people have many fun activities and festive traditions they like to do. One of my favorite holiday activities I do every year with my family is go see Christmas lights. There is a great Christmas lights display in Wheeling, West Virginia. It is a few miles long and very colorful. Everywhere you look you see bright festive lights. First, we stop at their gift shop at the beginning of the tour. There, we get our favorite kinds of homemade fudge and popcorn. As we drive, we eat the fudge and listen to Christmas music. It is a slow drive where you stay in your car and enjoy the light structures as you drive. My favorite part of the tour is the light display representing The Peanuts with Charlie Brown. The light structures usually move and are very entertaining. After the tour, the family usually has a nice dinner together celebrating the holidays.
