On Saturday, October 20th, 2018 the Greene County Swine Club held their annual swine show and sale. The show started at 1 p.m. and took place at the Greene County Fair Grounds in the indoor barn and arena. The sale started at 7 p.m. and also took place at the Greene County Fair Grounds in the indoor barn and arena.

JM students Gavin Ostrich and Jacob Bilonick are both apart of the club and both showed and sold their market swines through out the day. JM student, Madison Kovach, was also at the show helping award members with ribbons and trophy’s as her role as the 2018 Greene County Fair Queen.

Ostrich’s 248 LBS market swine placed third in its division and was sold for $3.50 a pound. Bilonick’s 267 LBS market swine placed 2nd in its division and was sold for $5.00 a pound.

At the end of the sale the club held their annual cake sale in which the money would be benefiting the club in their future shows. The cake was made and decorated by club member Alexus Grecoe. The cake was sold for $2,000!
