Leo Club

The Leo Club has many exciting activities coming up n the next few weeks!

Member Michael Pochron said, “I joined Leo Club my junior year and stuck with it since.”  These activities include, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, eyeglass donations, angel Christmas tree, roadside clean up in the fall and the again the spring, and many more to come.

“I will be participating in the upcoming activities,” said Pochron.

Well in the spring, roadside clean up will resume and planting flowers in the front of the school will be started.

For the winter activities, we have bell ringing, that already started but will continue. Students have volunteered already for bell ringing and our out today, December 1st, 2016. Four students go out at a time and they bell ring about twice a week every week.

Other charity work and functions will mainly happen during December gearing up for the holidays.

For winter activities we just finished up with a koeze nut order, we are buying gifts for the women’s shelter in waynesburg, and we did an angel tree through the Catholic Church, and like always we have the eyeglass donations in Mrs. Hubas room.

Students and teachers have picked from the angel tree. The people who take one try and get the kids what they wished for the angle tree ticket. Sometimes they do not always get what they want, but they try to get the children what they ask for.

Eyeglass donations are also important. Well if you wear glasses you know that frames are expensive and some times it is hard to afford the frames. That is why we collect reused and recycled frames.

If you would like to join Leo Club and be part of a great club, please see Mrs. Huba, or an officer for an application.
