The Trump administration passed a ban on carrying any electronics (anything bigger than a smartphone) into the cabin of a plane that is coming from the Middle East to America. Instead passengers will have to check any of the banned devices in with their luggage and will be made from taking it into the cabin.

The ban was effectively put into place on Tuesday and airports were given four days to comply, If a passenger does not comply will have their certification taken by the FFA and they will not be allowed to fly into the U.S.

“This just doesn’t seem right at all”, said senior Dustin Schimansky. “They can’t just force people to give up their belongings, and then take the ability to fly away from them if they don’t.”

The ban was put into place due to growing fear that terrorist groups will attempt to smuggle explosives into the U.S hidden inside of their electronic devices.

“I think the ban will do some good to protect this country. Our safety is the number one priority, and this seems like a small price to pay to insure that”, says senior Aaron Mylan. The Trump administration’s idea here is to stop the smuggling of any explosives or any other harmful items.

When asked how they plan on actually enforcing the ban, the CEO of Dubai Airports said, “The customer will be allowed to have their device all the way up until the gate where they will have it taken off of them and put into a safe container, and stored until the end of the flight.”

Up to twenty three airlines in both the U.S and the U.K will be affected by this ban that will be put into place starting the Friday.
