Joelle Pahanish, a daughter of Tammy and Dave Thistlethwaite of Jefferson, was selected as the 2018 Jefferson-Morgan School District Coal Queen Representative.

Pahanish will  compete in the  65th annual Pennsylvania Bituminous Coal Pageant held in August.
