Cheerleading

The Jefferson Morgan Middle/High School has two cheerleading squads available for students participation. The junior varsity squad is for students in 7th or 8th grade, and the varsity squad is for students in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.

The Jefferson Morgan Cheerleaders perform at various events during the school year such as 7th grade orientation, pep rallies, and many different sports. The sports that the cheerleaders regularly cheer for are football, girls and boys basketball, and wrestling.

The varsity cheerleaders recently traveled with the football team to their game at Union. The cheerleaders also plan to travel with the football team this friday to their game at West Greene.

Currently the varsity cheerleaders are only cheering for football, though the junior high cheerleaders are cheering for girls basketball and football.

Sign ups for the 2017-2018 season will not be held until the spring and tryouts will be held shortly after that. Tryouts for the cheerleading squad consist of 2 or 3 practices of which participants learn a cheer, chant, and dance to perform in front of judges.

Please come to our sporting events and support the Jefferson Morgan Sports Teams and the cheerleaders during their season!
