Erin Confortini – Athlete Biography

    Erin Confortini is a senior and a member of the track team.

    Confortini has been a dedicated track member ever since she started participating during her freshman year. She found that her niche for track is long and triple jump.

    “My first year of track, I toyed around with different events but I found that I like long and triple jump the best,” Confortini began. “I know I do not enjoy running so I try to stick to events that will help the team as much as possible. So far, I think I have been doing a good job.”

    From the start of track season, Confortini tries to improve her game as much as possible. She knows that her long jump is good, but there are is a particular aspect of her triple that she wants to improve on.

    Confortini explained exactly what she needed to focus on to better herself. “I feel my triple jump is good where it stands, but I need to improve the second phase of it in order to contribute the most to the team. If I can do that, my triple jump will go from being good to being great.”

    Although track is a team sport, it is also great to have individual success and goals. Confortini has set goals for herself that she wishes to accomplish this season. Being able to conquer this goal would be a big step in her athletic career.

    “First of all, I would like to triple jump 32 feet,” Confortini said. “I would also like to qualify for states, but that is going to take a lot of hard work and determination.”

    Confortini is a senior this season so her amazing track career is coming to an end. She would like to thank all of her teammates for all of the good times she has had. Confortini is hoping for a successful track season and wants to have the best season of her career.
