Maddie Call is a freshman and a member of the varsity volleyball team.

Call’s inspiration comes from her family.  Her cousin would pass with her in the backyard.  That is when she knew that volleyball would be a part of her life.

Call plays back row and libero and has been playing since 7th grade.  This season Call is adjusting to how the court is set up because it is different from middle school volleyball.  

According to Call, she plans “to work hard, play hard and do the best I possibly can.”

“Before we leave for a game I play my volleyball playlist, close my eyes and picture whats going to happen at the game,” stated Call.

Call’s favorite memory from last season was when the team beat West Greene because that win upset the Pioneer’s winning streak.

Call has this advice to offer up and coming players, “Do your best and try your hardest because you can achieve whatever you set your mind to”.
